We understand that interests can sometimes take different paths. We don't want you to leave, but if you have already made your mind up, this article will guide you through the steps that you should follow to end your partnership with us.
Cancelling your partnership with Affirm
When cancelling your partnership with Affirm, you will typically fall into one of two categories: either you captured recent sales within 90 days or you had no sales while using Affirm as a partner. Regardless of your situation, please follow the next steps:
Cancelling if you had sales
- Contact us through merchantcare@uk.affirm.com.
- Send your request and provide the reason for termination and additional information. Your feedback is very important to help us to grow.
- Settle any current or future negative balance before cancelling your partnership with Affirm.
- To resolve this balance, we'll need to enable direct debit for your account. By doing so, we will retrieve the negative balance seamlessly. Once we've received your request, we'll send you a letter confirming the termination of your agreement within a few business days to complete the process. If you have not received this letter after two weeks of submitting it, please contact our Merchant Care team.
Cancelling if you didn't have sales
- Contact us through merchantcare@uk.affirm.com.
- Send your request and provide the reason for termination and additional information. Your feedback is very important to help us to grow.
-
After we receive your request, we’ll send you a termination agreement (that may need to be countersigned by you) within a few business days to complete the process.
Cancelling your partnership with SPI (Shop Pay Installments)
- Shop Pay Installments is powered by Affirm. If you need help with Shop Pay, you will need to contact Shop Pay via Shopify's support team as they are best suited to answer any questions that you may have about Installments on your site.
- Affirm does not support Shop Pay Installments terminations.

Migrating to SPI (Shop Pay Installments)
If you want to end your partnership with Affirm and migrate to SPI, please follow these steps:
- Contact us through merchantcare@uk.affirm.com.
- Send your request and provide the reason for termination and additional information. Your feedback is very important to help us to grow.
- Once we've received your request, we'll send you a termination agreement (that may need to be countersigned by you) within a few business days to complete the process.
